Crewe Day Festival 2026 Returns on Saturday 4th July

Crewe Day is back on Saturday 4th July, bringing a packed programme of entertainment, activities and celebrations to the town centre.

Taking place from 12pm until 6pm, the free event will once again bring together residents, businesses, community groups and visitors for a day that celebrates Crewe’s heritage, community spirit and local pride.

Organised by Crewe Town Council and supported by Crewe BID, Discover Crewe and Mornflake, Crewe Day marks the anniversary of the first trains passing through Crewe Station on 4th July 1837. Almost 190 years later, the event continues to celebrate the railway heritage, engineering excellence and community spirit that have helped shape the town.

Programme:

  • The People Powered Rocket by Walk the Plank
  • Giant elephant puppets & a community parade
  • Live music & performances
  • Artisan & makers markets
  • Heritage activities
  • A climbing wall
  • Family-friendly attractions & fairground rides

(Times and locations to be announced.)

Community groups, performers and organisations from across Crewe will once again play a central role in the celebrations, helping to create a vibrant day that showcases the people, talent and creativity found across the town.

Visitors can also enjoy activities at Crewe Heritage Centre, step back in time to 1837 and experience the spectacular Miniature Steam Up with Foxfield Railway. Alongside the main programme, there will be opportunities to explore local attractions, support town centre businesses and discover some of the organisations that help make Crewe such a special place.

Whether you’re a long-time resident, new to the area or visiting for the day, Crewe Day is a chance to come together and celebrate everything that makes the town unique.
