Crewe’s festive season has officially begun, bringing Christmas lights, family activities and a trail to enjoy across the town centre, Nantwich Road and Grand Junction Retail Park.
A Very Crewe Christmas is our winter campaign, funded by Crewe BID and created to support the people, places and businesses that make the town what it is. Throughout the season we’ll be sharing festive events, gift ideas, seasonal food and drink and plenty of reasons to shop local.
You’ll already spot decorated windows, festive displays, selfie moments and plenty of places to explore across all three BID areas. From Christmas shopping and meals out to family time in town, there is much to enjoy as we head towards December.
One element of the campaign is the Crewe Christmas Express Trail, designed to encourage families to explore the town centre. Five festively themed stops each include a short clue, a photo moment and a trail word to add to the trail sheet, available from Crewe Market Hall or downloadable from our website soon.
There is also a Golden Stop at Crewe Station as a nod to the town’s rail heritage. Once complete, the trail sheet can be posted into the special post box at Crewe Market Hall for the chance to win £200 to spend in Crewe this January.
The season also includes new festive lights at Grand Junction Retail Park, the BID Funded Tree on Nantwich Road and this year’s Nantwich Road Action Group Christmas activity on Saturday, December 20th, when the Rotary Club of Crewe escorts Father Christmas along the route at around 10am.
Crewe Town Council’s Christmas Lights Switch On takes place on Saturday, November 29th from 2pm to 7pm, with stalls, entertainment, walkabout performers, crafts, a lantern parade, mini rides and the big switch on at 7pm.
