Tricks and Treats Across the Town as Crewe launches first Spooktacular

Halloween is taking over Crewe this October with spooky fun, eerie events and plenty of tricks and treats for the whole family.

Our very first Crewe Spooktacular runs from Saturday, October 18th through to Saturday, October 25th, filling the town with magic and Halloween mayhem.

It all begins with our brand-new spooktacular character trail, launching on Saturday, October 18th, setting the scene for some frightfully good fun. Shops, cafés and venues across the BID will also be getting into the spirit with spooky makeovers, eerie offers and plenty of activities to enjoy during half term and across Halloween weekend itself.

The highlight of the campaign will be on Saturday, October 25th when the Crewe Spooktacular takes over the town. From 11am to 3.30pm Lyceum Square, Victoria Centre and Market Square will be filled with free family fun, glitter face painting, creepy crafts and roaming performers.

At 2pm, there will be a fancy dress competition, where you can win free tickets to this year’s panto, Jack and the Beanstalk. A final performance in Lyceum Square will bring the day to a close.

Crewe Market Hall will also be hosting the Geeky Gala, and over in Grand Junction Retail Park, there will be opportunities to spin the wheel and win a prize at the Pumpkin Junction between 11am and 1pm.

For this first year we’ve given each part of the BID a spooky new identity. The town centre becomes the Haunted Heart of Crewe, Nantwich Road shows its darker side with Nantwitch Road and Grand Junction Retail Park transforms into Pumpkin Junction. We’ll also be sharing a spooky map to tie everything together and guide families around town.

The Crewe Spooktacular is our way of boosting community spirit, shining a light on local businesses and giving families a Halloween to remember.

So gather your ghouls and ghosts, polish those pumpkins and join us for two weeks of spooktacular fun. Tag @DiscoverCrewe and use #DiscoverCrewe to share your photos.
