SUMMARY:Remembrance Sunday Service
DESCRIPTION:The 2025 Crewe Remembrance Sunday Service will take place on Sunday 9th November. \nIt is an opportunity for us all to come together to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. \nThe Remembrance Parade will muster at the Market Sheds on Lyceum Square at 10.15am and will lead into Memorial Square in time for the service to begin at 10.45am. \nAt 11am\, the two minute silence will be observed giving guests\, residents and visitors the opportunity to make their own personal silent tribute to all those who have died in the service of their Country. The Service is due to finish by 12.30pm. \nIf you would like to lay a wreath\, there will be an opportunity to do so at the end of the service. SUMMARY:Town Centre Heritage Walks
DESCRIPTION:Meet Councillor Ben Wye at the Britannia Statue\, Memorial Square\, and walk around Crewe Town Centre to explore the heritage of the town. Share fascinating stories and memories with other history lovers along the way. \nThe tour includes Memorial Square\, the Lyceum Theatre\, Gaffers’ Row\, Jubilee Gardens\, the Railway Cottages\, Christ Church and the Block Houses. \nThe tour lasts for around 90 minutes from 2pm until 3.30pm on Sunday\, September 14th and from 6pm – 7.30pm on Thursday\, September 18th. \nPre booking is preferred as the tours have a limited space of 15 people but if there is space on the day\, you can join.
