TikTok Star Spudman Gives Out Free Jacket Potatoes in Crewe Town Square

In a new partnership with London Northwestern Railway (LNR), viral TikTok star Spudman is coming to Crewe Town Square to give out free jacket potatoes.

The collaboration follows the introduction of a brand-new fleet of trains, known as the Class 730s, to the popular Trent Valley railway route. It connects destinations in Cheshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Buckinghamshire with London, including Crewe Train Station.

David Watkin, commercial director at LNR, said: “Tamworth station is at the heart of the Trent Valley Line, so partnering with the town’s most famous internet star felt like a natural fit to help introduce our new fleet. We’re thrilled to be bringing Spudman to Milton Keynes and Crewe for the first time, giving local communities a chance to try one of his legendary creations.”

Over a month, Spudman will be giving away 730 loaded spuds across three locations along the Trent Valley Line. These include Milton Keynes, Crewe and Tamworth.

The TikTok star will be coming to Crewe on Saturday, February 28th and will be setting up shop in Crewe Town Square from 11am to 3pm.

Ben Newman, also known as Spudman, said: “I feel very lucky to have followers who are willing to travel such long distances to visit me, so working with a train operator which is introducing brand-new trains and making it even easier for them as a result makes perfect sense. I can’t wait to visit Milton Keynes, Crewe and then back to where it all started in Tamworth!”

Fans can sign up online to receive their voucher for a free spud, but for those who miss out there will also be a limited edition LNR-green meal on offer. This will feature a pesto chicken topping and a percentage of the profits will go to charity.
