Seaside Themed Bucket Trail Added to Discover Crewe-On-Sea Activities
Download the Map and Tick List Here – TRAIL MAP & TICK LIST
Discover Crewe-On-Sea will now include a town-wide, virtual scavenger hunt where participants can go on an adventure to find nine bucket trail spots from 11am to 4pm on the same days as the pop up beach.
Posters featuring seaside icons will be hidden across local businesses, including a life ring, an ice cream van, a seagull, a starfish, a beach ball, a bucket and spade, a beach chair, an ice lolly, and flip flops.
Tick them off the list and write down where they were found to complete the bucket trail and take part in the activities along the way.
Spend the rest of the day at the colourful pop-up beach at Lyceum Square filled complete with real sand, a beach hut and plenty of coastal props. It will be a free, family friendly seaside experience from Saturday, August 23rd to Monday, August 25th.
From 11am to 4pm, visitors can relax in deckchairs, get involved in craft workshops and enjoy live performances across the bank holiday weekend.
Brought to you by Crewe Town Council in partnership with Crewe Business Improvement District (BID), Discover Crewe-On-Sea forms part of Crewe Town Council’s wider Summer Festival of Fun.
The trail covers Crewe town centre, Grand Junction Retail Park and Nantwich Road, with three spots in each area.
Businesses involved around Nantwich Road are Chill & Thrill (a retro arcade bar serving breakfast, desserts and cocktails) Ceramic Tile & Bathrooms, and The Imperial pub.
In Grand Junction Retail Park, head to Pure Gym, M&S Food and Easy Bathrooms to discover more hidden icons.
For the town centre, explore Polka Dot Travel agents, Vernon’s Fish Bar and Lizards Lair (a tabletop gaming centre and community hub in the Victoria Centre).
To take part in the trail make sure to:
1. Download or pick up the map at Chill & Thrill or the Lyceum Square beach to see the route.
2. Start at the point that works for you and visit the stops along the way.
3. Tick off all the scavenger hunt icons.
4. Meet us at the beach in Lyceum Square.
Join in the bank holiday fun and take in the sunshine while searching the town for the bucket spots.
Extra activities will add to the excitement, such as colouring stations with seaside themed postcards to take home, and a ‘guess the shells in the jar’ challenge to see how close you can get.
Make sure to take lots of pictures at the activities and tag @DiscoverCrewe in any posts sharing seaside fun in the town.
We hope to see everyone having a ball and enjoying the coast in the town centre.
