Over 180 Free Activities Coming to Crewe for the Summer Festival of Fun
Crewe’s much-loved school holiday programme is back – bigger, better, and now with a brand-new name.
Organised by Crewe Town Council, the Summer Festival of Fun is the refreshed version of Operation Summer, offering an exciting line-up of over 180 free activities for children and families to enjoy during the school holidays.
Running from Tuesday, July 22nd to Sunday, August 31st, the programme is now in its fourth year and continues to go from strength to strength.
Designed to keep young minds busy, inspired and entertained, the Summer Festival of Fun provides a wide mix of sessions across town – from creative workshops and outdoor performances to science, sport and wildlife activities.
This year’s highlights include:
- Digital art and animation sessions
- Outdoor theatre productions in Queens Park
- Family-friendly activities covering crafts, drama, science, sport, nature and more
There’s also something special on the horizon…
Discover Crewe-on-Sea, a seaside-themed event for all the family, is coming to the town centre this summer. Funded by Crewe BID, this playful pop-up will be revealed in full over the next few days.
The Summer Festival of Fun is about offering affordable, quality experiences for children and young people, helping to ease the financial pressure that summer holidays can bring for parents and carers.
All activities are free to attend, although a small number of events at Crewe Library require advance booking.
