Eddie Davies Celebrates 15 Years of Managing United Carpets

Owner and manager at United Carpets, Eddie Davies is celebrating 15 years at the Nantwich Road flooring store.
The assistant manager, Gavin Chesters, has worked with Eddie since 2010, and two years ago his son, Connor, joined the team.
Eddie spoke about the highs of his time at United Carpets: “No one big thing stands out, but I think getting repeat business is huge. It is great when someone comes back in to have a room or even the whole house re-done after a few years, or they bring family or friends in!”
Over the course of his career in carpets, Eddie has seen trends change and come back around. He also recalled the challenges of closing during COVID-19, when the store was bursting with stock and no one knew when it would reopen.
Outside of work, he has a great interest in Crewe Alexandra, even though he is a life-long Liverpool supporter. Eddie said: “With the Mornflake Stadium being just around the corner you get quite involved. Especially on match days, when there is a home goal you can hear the cheering even with the door is closed.”
The flooring shop manager is also a huge music fan and loves a live gig. Recently, he has seen Bruce Springsteen, The Waterboys, Bryan Adams, Pulp and AC/DC, with his wife. Plus, he supports local live bands in various pubs and clubs in the area.
Eddie and his wife have been growing their family by adopting two dogs, an Australian Kelpie in 2016 and a Staffie in 2024.
Looking to the future, Eddie wants to continue finding the best flooring at great prices, while welcoming customers old and new.
