From Taiwan to TikTok, this drink has taken the world by storm – and you can get your fix right here in Crewe at Kawaii Boba Tea on Earle Street.
Since opening, it’s become a local favourite, now with a team of 10 and a menu bursting with nearly 30 flavour combinations. Think fruity iced teas, creamy milk teas, popping boba, jellies, sundaes, croffles and Asian-inspired snacks – plus there’s space to sit in and even a karaoke booth if you’re feeling brave.
So what actually is bubble tea? Also known as boba tea or pearl milk tea, it’s a tea-based drink that usually includes chewy tapioca balls (called boba or bubbles) and comes in all sorts of fruity or creamy flavours.
Owner Jayne is always mixing things up. New for summer are Blueberry, Lychee, Rose Fruit and Kiwi Fruit, perfect for a hot day in town.
Opening hours are Monday to Thursday 11am to 7pm, Friday and Saturday 11am to 7.30pm, and Sunday 12pm to 5pm.
