The Nantwich Road Action Group is made up of residents, businesses and local partners who care about Crewe’s gateway street and the people who live and work along it.
Formed in 2020, the group now has more than 200 members and has become a recognised voice for the area. They work with Crewe BID, Crewe Town Council, Cheshire East Council, local councillors and organisations including Cheshire College, YMCA Cheshire, Cheshire Police and the Rotary Club.
Over the past few years they’ve supported new street art under the bridge, a mural at Camm Street Gym, litter clean-ups and road safety campaigns. They also helped bring Christmas to the area with the tree at the Ruskin Road junction and the Rotary sleigh visits.
The group meets three or four times a year at Cheshire College, with open public meetings that anyone can attend. Representatives from local services often come along to share updates, listen to feedback and discuss plans for the area.
Anyone interested in getting involved can find out more on the Nantwich Road Action Group Facebook page.
