Crewe Krazy Races Will Return and it’s Set to be Bigger Than Ever
Clear your calendar because Krazy Races is back after this year’s incredible soapbox derby.
More than 20 teams took part and thousands of spectators cheered them on as they raced through Crewe. Catch the action again when the wacky karts and hair-raising downhill action returns on Sunday, May 24th, 2026.
Last year, Discover Crewe were proud to support the event by sponsoring the free shuttle buses, helping thousands of visitors reach the town centre and enjoy everything it has to offer.
Applications are now open for teams, sponsors, and charities to be part of one of the most exciting events on Crewe’s 2026 calendar.
Crewe Town Council are looking for 20 to 40 teams from local businesses, schools, colleges, charities and community groups to get involved. Previous entrants have included Crewe Lyceum Theatre, AO, Crewe Heritage Centre and many others, so this year we want to see even more teams join in the fun.
A spokesperson for Crewe Town Council said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Krazy Races to Crewe again in May 2026 after so many calls from residents and visitors to bring the event back. This event brings such an incredible energy to the town, celebrating creativity, community spirit, and good old-fashioned fun.”
Charity is a focus of the event; local organisations can apply to headline charity partners and raise vital funds while showcasing their work to thousands.
The course will run from Ford Lane, round the Broad Street bend, through Brooklands, and across the finish line before Badger Avenue. Plus, Brooklands will be transformed into an event village, full of food stalls, family entertainment, and a giant screen showing the live action.
Danny Scoffin, Head of Brand & Strategic Development for Krazy Races, said: “Crewe made it clear, Krazy Races HAD to return! The atmosphere in 2025 was electric, and we can’t wait to top it in 2026.”
