Free One-to-One Dementia Support at Nationwide Crewe This August
Caring for someone with dementia or living with the diagnosis yourself can be incredibly tough.
This August, Dementia UK’s specialist Admiral Nurses will be offering free, face-to-face appointments at Nationwide in Crewe, giving local people a chance to get tailored advice and support.
The 45-minute sessions will be held in a private space inside the branch and are open to anyone affected by dementia. You can book an appointment on Tuesday, August 12th, Wednesday, August 13th or Thursday, August 14th, between 10am and 4pm.
These longer sessions give people the time and space to speak openly, ask questions and get help with whatever they’re facing. That might include concerns about memory problems, getting a diagnosis, understanding what to expect, or practical and emotional advice on caring for someone.
The clinics are part of Nationwide’s Fairer Futures programme in partnership with Dementia UK, which aims to support over 100,000 people living with dementia over the next three years.
Appointments can only be booked up to one month in advance, but you do not need to be a Nationwide member to use this service. You can book online by selecting ‘Crewe’ and the right date via the Dementia UK website. Alternatively, text the word ‘APPOINTMENT’ to 07478 724000 and someone will call you back to help you book.
If you have any questions, email [email protected]. For urgent support, call Dementia UK Helpline on 0800 888 6678.
